September 27, 2025, the official family tournament "Catch the Whalewas", held on the Istra Reservoir in the Moscow region, which included competitions in spinning fishing from boats (for adults) and float fishing from the shore (for children).
This year, for the first time, a municipal competition was held with the assignment of a classification grid, which contributed to the development of fishing sports in the Russian Federation.
The competition was held in challenging weather conditions, which made the fishing process more difficult.
Despite the unfavorable factors, the athletes demonstrated high results using various tactics.
The winners of the competition were: Smirnov Svyatoslav and Kotov Pavel.
